During this time he found himself with a growing appreciation for the “ hard working everyday people” he encountered. In them he found his inspiration. His art reflects the pain, love, happiness and struggle we all encounter. “I just want to create an emotional connection for the people seeing my work. That's the way I can give something back to the people.” For the majority of the artists in the show the use of color is important and often explosive. It first catches the eye and then lures one in for a second look to study the compositions’ details. In this show, Awan’s showcasing his ever evolving style by reflecting his love for street art. As a child he wasn’t able to visit museums and the beautiful masterpieces that they hold. Upon entering, guests will walk in to a large art instillation reminiscent of a tagged NYC subway car, setting the tone for the street art inspired show. The venue will be familiar to art fans, being that it is in the same location as Awan’s breakout L.A. show of 2017. Bar will include $5 mixed drinks, $2 beer and some surprise “freebies” for those in attendance.
